FUN FACTS ABOUT Gabe and the Pesky Bug
--Gabriel and Cora are my kid's real names. :)
--This story began one night when I was tired of reading the same books to Gabe, so I made one up on the spot. Gabe laughed every time I said "Aw, Peanuts!" I figured I had a good story on my hands.
--They really do have a neighbor named Dylan.
--That's not really how Gabe's room looks like. Nor Cora's.
--He does have that pirate ship and those pirates!
--The real Gabe likes volcanos too:)
--That cross in Cora's room that plays the bells is a recording of an old clock we have.
--She has many duckies in real life.
--Gabe's shirt has something wrong with it on one page...can you guess what it is?
--I had to learn how to use professional markers so I could do my own coloring.
--I'm red-green color blind! That didn't help.
--The real Gabe actually keeps his room fairly clean. (I take that back...)
--I drew the robot from one Gabe actually has...I changed the face though.
--The drawings on the board above Cora's desk are actually hers.
--That's Gabe's actual drawing of slingshot...I told him to draw it as poorly as possible. He was not happy...he's actually a good artist.
--Why is the grasshopper called Charles the Third? I wanted an absurd name and that popped into my head for some reason. I have a weird sense of humor. lol
--Gabe and Cora did their own voices and their mother did the narration. A family effort!
--The painting in the hall is one by my mother-in-law. She's an artist too.
--The drawing of Gabe on that same wall, is one I did a few years ago.
--I spent about 4000 hours on this book. Just kidding, but it felt like it! :P
