I always like seeing how a comic strip developed, how it changed and how the artist came about creating the character. So I thought it would be funny to see some of the drawings I messed up on.
This is a drawing that I thought was coming along nicely until I corrected a small spot in the right eye...then kept correcting and kept correcting until it got out of control. Huge eye boy was scrapped.
Learning to get the right shade of skin color was one of the difficult parts to drawing the characters at first. I got a handle on it later on. I call this one sun-burned boy.
I think I redrew this picture several billion times, still don't think it's the greatest. This one was terrible.
Um, there's an eyeball floating above his head...
